Classes at SCM

SCM classes give your kiddo the chance to learn through play, try new things, and spend time with other children in a supportive space. Led by our professional education team, each class mixes hands-on STEM activities with creativity, movement, and problem-solving.

Along the way, kids build confidence, practice working with others, and get comfortable expressing themselves, all while having a good time. It’s a steady, welcoming space for your little one to learn and grow.

Frequently Asked Questions

Q: What is Museums for All?

A: “Museums for all” is a nationwide initiative that aims to ensure that every family and child has access to a high quality museum experience. Families with EBT, CHIP, WIC, Provider One, or Apple Health are able to access SCM offerings at discounted rates. Proof of qualification for this rate is required at check-in on the 1st day of class.

Q: Who qualifies as a "caregiver"?

A: SCM considers caregivers to be individuals at least 18 years old.

Q: If I want to play in the museum after class with my child do we need to pay for admission separately?

A: No, you do not need to pay for separate admission if staying in the museum after class! Stay and play as long as you’d like.

Q: What other educational programs does SCM offer?

A: While all of the museum’s work is rooted in education and providing children with opportunities to learn through play, all of our offers for field trips, school groups, and educators can be viewed HERE.

Q: What is the cancellation policy?

A: All sales are final and registration is 100% non-refundable.

Q: If my child misses a class, can they attend a different day to make it up?

A: Because of the way our classes are structured, we’re not able to offer make-up days for missed sessions. We understand things come up, and we appreciate your understanding as we keep our class flow consistent for all participants.
