Brought to you by our education staff,  our half-day summer camps offer interdisciplinary activities focused in science, technology, engineering, art, and math. Your child will enjoy meeting new friends, learning, and playing through activities centered around each camp session’s unique theme. This summer Seattle Children’s Museum is offering 4 uniquely themed sessions to choose from: All Out Summer, Animal Encounters, Outdoor Adventures, and Going Green.

All camp sessions offer free curbside drop-off and pick-up and additional Camp Care available as an add-on for your convenience.

All-Out Summer

Outdoor Adventures

Animal Encounters

Available for children ages 4 – 6

Sessions:

Session 1: June 26-30
Session 2: July 24-28
Session 3: Aug 21-25

In this camp, your child will have the opportunity to learn about a variety of animals, from the smallest insects to the largest mammals. They will participate in hands-on activities, educational games, and interactive lessons that will teach them about the different habitats, diets, and behaviors of animals.

Going Green

In this camp, we are all about sustainability & environmental awareness. We will engage in eco-friendly projects that emphasize the importance of environmental conservation and learning how to make a positive difference.

Why Enroll?

Seattle Children’s Museum’s Summer Camps don’t just bring summer fun, new friends, fun activities, and immersive play – there’s also psychological and behavioral benefits your child can directly gain from spending their summer with SCM. Summer programming provides a space and outlet for your child to develop their social-cognitive skills, executive function, and gross and fine motor skills. Our camps focus on team-building exercises, interdisciplinary STEAM activities, and most importantly, giving your children a space to learn, grow, and develop through play.

Ages:

Our All Out Summer and Outdoor Adventures sessions are available for children ages 3 ½ – 5 while our Animal Encounters and Going Green sessions are available for children ages 4 – 6. All children registered must be completely potty trained and able to use the bathroom independently. 

Cost:

Each session will run Monday – Friday, 9am – 12pm. The cost per session is $275 for museum members or $300 for non-members.

Camp sessions for the week of Juneteenth and July 4th will run as normal Monday – Friday but offered at a discounted rate of $235 for members and $255 for non-members.

Before and After Camp Care

Before-camp and after-camp care are available for the 30 minutes prior to camp-start and camp-end. A once-per-session $50 additional charge is added on to your registration and grants access to early drop-off and late pick-up all week. Early drop-off starts at 8:30am and late pick-up ends at 12:30pm Monday – Friday. Camp care will be offered the weeks of Juneteenth and July 4th but will not be discounted. During the registration process select the Camp Care Add-on ticket type to utilize this offering.

Camp Policies

Refunds & Cancellations: 

  • No refunds for no-shows 
  • No refund if a child is dismissed due to behavior 
  • Registration for each week of camp closes one week prior to the session start date.
  • Your registration includes a $50 program fee that cannot be refunded under any circumstance. The remainder of your registration dues will be refunded if a cancellation is made no later than two weeks prior of the session start date. If a cancellation is made on a session that starts in less than two weeks, no refund will be issued. If the a cancellation needs to be made for the session starting June 19, a cancellation would need to be made no later than the end of day on June 5 for a full refund ($50 program fee excluded).

Pick-up & Drop-off: 

  • Curbside pick-up and drop-off a will be available if you don’t want to pay for parking and walk into the Museum. Exact location will be communicated in email communication closer to camp start and posted here. Drop off will be from 8:55am to 9am and pick up from 12:00pm to 12:10pm.  
  • We offer before care  starting at 8:30am or after care until 12:30 pm for $50 per week 
  • Pick-up past 12:10pm will be charged by the minute at $1 per minute unless your child is enrolled in PM camp care. 

Frequently Asked Questions 

Q: What can I expect for my child at Seattle Children's Museum's Summer Camps?

A: All our summer camps are interdisciplinary half-day camps engaging your child in STEAM (science, technology, engineering, art, and math) focused projects and experiences with lots of play woven throughout each morning. Campers will enjoy meeting new friends, learning, and of course playing!

Q: Should I pack my child a snack?

A: Yes! We will have a 15-minute bathroom and snack break each morning. Please do not send any nuts or shellfish with your child for their snack.

Q: When and where is drop-off and pick-up?

A: Curbside pick-up and drop-off will be available if you don’t want to pay for parking and walk into the Museum. Drop off will be from 8:55am to 9am and pick up from 12:00pm to 12:10pm.  

Q: Can I drop off my child earlier or pick them up later than the designated times?

A: Every camp session has AM and PM camp care available Monday – Friday for an additional $50 per session. AM care begins at 8:30am and PM care ends at 12:30pm. To add on camp care to your registration, select the camp care add-on ticket type during camp registration.
