In Collaboration with Resilient Hearts Animal Sanctuary

We’re working with local animal sanctuary and rescue, Resilient Hearts Animal Sanctuary, to provide some puppy playmates for our members. While the puppies present at this event will not be avaliable for day-of adoption, Resilient Hearts staff is more than happy to start initial steps of the adoption process to get your family one step closer to having a four-legged friend. Seattle Children’s Museum will also be making a $250 donation on behalf of our Members to help support the Sanctuary and the needed care and support they provide these animals.

Frequently Asked Questions

Q: I see puppy play time will be first-come, first-serve. How will this work at the event?

A: As you arrive the Museum and check-in, your group will receive a ticket designating your puppy play time slot. While we have limited event capacity to ensure as many attendees as possible get puppy time, and to ensure animal welfare, we still highly suggest you arrive as closely as possible to your registered session start time to best guarantee your assigned puppy play time.

Q: Can I bring non-member guests to the event?

A: Yes! Each registered party must have at least one current Member in their group but non-member guests are welcome to join you.

Q: Will the puppies be free-roaming in the Museum?

A: No. The puppies will have designated areas inside some of our party rooms and class rooms.

Q: Will all present puppies be fully vaccinated and/or fixed?

A: All present puppies will be fully vacinated but may or may not be fixed depending on their age/breed. To prevent the spread of allergens and potential germs, please wash your hands before and after visiting with the puppies and returning to the Musuem.

Q: Can I bring my own dog to the event?

A: Unfortunately standard Museum operational rules stand at this event, and animals are not welcome outside those being brought by Resillient Hearts Animal Sanctuary. Service animals are permitted but will need to stay outside the classrooms and party rooms where the puppies are present.

Q: I am a current SCM Member, but my Membership expires right before this event. Can I still attend?

A: All attendees must be current Seattle Children’s Museum Members or a guest of a Member. Our staff will be working to verify membership status of all registrants and will be refunding your registration if you’re not set to be a current member at the time of the event. Please rewnew your membership at as needed to qualify to attend.
