Take Pride in Your Family. Take Pride in Yourself. Take Pride in Play!

Seattle Children’s Museum is celebrating Pride and you’re invited! Families come in all shapes and sizes and all have our own unique ways to play and show love. Celebrate with YOUR family and our entire community at Seattle Children’s Museum’s Prideful Playdate. Come together to kick off Pride through science, art, and self-expression as we engage in activities that celebrate our differences and unique identities. Attend a Drag Story Time, tie-dye your own T-shirt, shred with Skate like a Girl, customzie pronoun buttons, make and exchange friendship bracelets, rock temporary glitter tattoos, spin, melt, and paint with every color of the identity rainbow, learn about Pride’s history through exhibit enhancements. We’re taking all our favorite things from Pride in the Park and bringing them into the Museum, so get your tickets today to join in on the stacked celebration.

Prideful Playdate Frequently Asked Questions

Q: I want to make sure my family can attend Drag Story Time so which time entry should I purchase?

A: Drag Story Times with Ms. Satchio are at 11:00am and 1:00pm. If you want to be present to attend a Story Time, please ensure you’re scanned into the Museum before at least 1:00pm to catch the 2nd session.

Q: Are all activities happening all day?

A: Out of the listed activities, two are only offered at limited times including our Drag Story Times with Ms. Stachio at 11:00am and 1:00pm, and activations with Skate Like a Girl from 2:00pm – 5:00pm.

Q: I'm so excited to tie-dye! What kinds of items can I bring to participate?

A: We ask that you limit your tie-dye experience to dying one item per person. We’ll be utilizing a salad spinner technique to assist us so all items must be able to fit inside (think kid’s T-shirt size). In addition, fabric should be as close to 100% cotton as possible for best results.

Q: Are there any ticket discounts available?

A: Our Museums for All Discount will be available on all pricing tiers for qualifying families receiving government assistance like food stamps, WIC, EBT, Provider One, Apple Health, or similar. Please use discount code  “MFA50” at checkout to redeem the discount and have proof of your program participation available upon arrival at the Museum.
