Cardboard City Opens

In this year’s version of our rotating exhibit, Cardboard City, visitors are able to build their vision of a futuristic city of Seattle out of cardboard and other recyclables, unlocking boundless creativity and encouraging open-ended, STEAM-based constructive play while visiting the museum.

Guests will be introduced to tools, techniques, creative reuse of recyclables, and independent to cooperative decision-making. Building Seattle 1000 years into the future invites children to dream big, explore ideas about future communities, and exercise their imagination and creativity.

Our Cardboard City is ready for construction from July 1 through August 24.

Open 7 days per week from 10:00am – 5:00pm. Free with admission or membership.
